Its getting scary..

August 11, 2009 at 4:02 pm | Posted in Day Care, school, Swine | 7 Comments

Four schools in Bangalore have been closed for a confirmed case of swine flu has been detected in each of them. 3 of these schools are in our area and one of these is Aryan’s school. Aryan and myself are at home , since I decided to work from home for 2-3 days.

A girl from one of these schools and Aryan’s day care mate has viral fever. So sending him to daycare is also not an option till we know that her fever is not swine. I really really really pray hard for her ..I hope she is safe.

I also pray for all the affected kids.

Its sure getting scary..God please help!

  2. Oh that does sound scary.. I wonder how much this will spread. Here in the UK, the stats are quite frightening and there were 2 people in my husband’s office who came down with swine flu – but both recovered with no problems..

  3. God!thats Scary..I was just talking to my dad today and he was saying that everyone is quite freaked out everywhere.

  6. Oh, I understand. Daughter’s school also shut and we live very close to the area where the first incidence was spotted in Chennai. People here are frantically buying masks!

  7. Hi, I know I was supposed to email but life is too hectic so I thought I’d drop in here.

Yes, the swine flu is scary. But we have been told here repeatedly by E and A’s doctor that its no more dangerous than the regular flu. hand washing is absolutely essential. Also, most people are expected to recover without any problems. That’s the good news.

The bad news is that the human race has no immunity to it so the first time we get ill with it its a lot worse than anything we’ve experienced.

Its so easy to give advice no? I’m sitting here panicking about what’s going to happen once E’s school starts in two weeks (A will not even be six months old then).

    Priya.
