This Saturday is Rakhi (Raksha Bandhan) , a festival that celebrates the bond of love between brothers and sisters and cousins 🙂

For the first time all 3 of us will celebrate it alone , with none of our brother / sister / cousin around.

Needless to say they will all be missed and will be in our thoughts!

Happy Raksha Bandan folks !

Yeah , after I missed my brothers the whole day we did have a nice time yesterday..thanks to Anupam’s first cousin.

She invited us over for dinner, as it has been a custom for past 2 years , since she came to Bangalore.

Then it meant 1 hour for selecting 3 rakhis,
Then it meant writing long letters to cousins,
Then it meant a holiday and puja,
Then it meant getting gift from brothers,
Then it meant teasing and being teased by brothers,
Then it meant sevain ki kheer,
Then it meant a fun filled day

Now it means 10 minutes for selecting 6 rakhis,
Now it means writing 2 liners as cover letter,
Now it means a working day and hurridly getting ready,
Now it means accepting gifts with lot of fuss,
Now it means wishing over the phone,
Now it means nostalgia and memories

Times do change with age

First of all , Belated wishes of Women’s day!

How was your day ! Our day was made special by our office people.

On 6th , the cafeteria was decorated with rangoli and flowers. Table mast were laid and there was some flowers on each table. All teh ladies were welcomed at the gate with a rose. The higher management served food to all the employees , special food with welcome drink , some chat, ice cream and sweet and a pan to close.

And all this was kept as a surprise ! Nice isn’t it ! I think it was a great gesture , especially in current times !
